Ozymandias
This is a manifestation of my fear of living on a rapidly warming planet, a prospect so overwhelming that it feels larger than anything we as individuals, or as a species, can ordinarily comprehend.
Regardless of our scientific and cultural achievements, or how important we believe our gods or ourselves to be, if we cease to exist then shortly after, on geological timescales, so will any trace of us ever having existed.
